Kusadasi and Patmos

We visited the amazing ancient ruins of Ephasus near Kusadasi Turkey. It is an incredibly well preserved ancient city.

Incredibly, we were able to sing a couple of songs in the ancient amphitheater there. What an experience!
Ancient public toilets--not much privacy
We stopped at a Turkish rug shop to learn how silk is taken from the silk cocoons and turned into threads for beautiful silk rugs.
Silk and wool beautiful Turkish rugs.

In the afternoon we sailed on to the island of Patmos where we visited the cave where St. John is said to have wrote the Book of Revelations. We also visited Monastary of St. John as well.

Tender boats back to our ship.
